Did you know that hypnotherapy can improve your health, and also help with healing?
It certainly can, and not just in the more obvious ways you might think. Because as well as helping you feel calmer and more in control over your habits and mental health, hypnotherapy can also bring many other surprising benefits to your physical health.
There is now a wealth of scientific evidence that proves just much how our mind and body are connected, and for health and healing purposes this is a very important acknowledgement.
Because your mind controls your body. And what your mind experiences, can often affect your body too. (Have you ever noticed how much your heart pounds or you feel on edge when watching a scary movie? Or how you feel better in yourself and happier after watching a feel-good movie or something that makes you smile or laugh?)
Put simply, what your mind focuses on, affects how your body feels and reacts…. so when you want to change or heal something in the body, the mind is often a very good place to start. And hypnotherapy provides the perfect tool of communication for mind-body healing.

Today, as we know, many health conditions and illnesses are caused or exacerbated by emotional stress (ie, negative emotions or a state of overwhelm which causes “dis-ease” within the body).
Essentially, the emotions that we experience have an impact on the way our bodies function, and this in turn this affects how we feel physically. When we experience positive emotions (for instance, happiness, calm, safety, contentedness, peace, love, etc), our bodies generate feel-good hormones and chemical reactions within the body’s cells that support and enhance the body’s functions. Which is why we all feel so much better in ourselves physically when we’re happier. Our more positive emotions result in improved energy, vitality and strength – plus an important boost to the immune system which further aids the process of healing and well-being.
However, the opposite can occur with prolonged ‘negative’ type emotions (eg, fear, anxiety, sadness, anger, grief, guilt or trauma), which can have a more debilitating affect on the body, especially when experienced over prolonged periods of time.
But the good news is that my Boost Your Health sessions help bring a healthier balance to your mind and body, by helping you release unwanted or negative emotions from the past, and by aiding a natural connection to calmer more positive feelings.
Over the past 19 years of working as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist I have gone on to work more directly with physical illnesses, including my own. (Having been diagnosed with total alopecia a few years ago, I was able to regrow a full head of healthy hair within just 3 months as a result of applying the same therapeutic approach I use with my clients, to myself.)
So many stress-related health issues can be completely resolved or improved by addressing the underlying emotions or trauma at the root of the problem. If you’d like to know more, please do get in touch with me.
Helping to reduce your stress levels and eliminating underlying stress triggers is likely to be one of the best things you can ever do for your health. If you should like to work with me, we’ll work together to free you from negative and unhelpful beliefs and emotions at the core of your issue, and connect you with an inner-calm, a sense of peace and safety, as well as feelings of self-control that can only serve to benefit you and your wellbeing.
There’s really no better time than the present to make a better future for yourself.
